Chabla is an international app and our users come from varying cultures and communities. There are some key directives that we hope all interpreters working with Chabla will follow to ensure a positive user-experience for all and the highest possible quality for the service.
First of all, Chabla exists to break down language barriers and to ameliorate the communication between the hearing and deaf and hard-of-hearing so when interpreting, only provide the interpretation from one language to another. Avoid intervening with the content of the conversation between Chabla users in any way. Also, aim to the best possible quality in your work so that the information is translated accurately.
We hope that all Chabla interpreters are eager to learn and willing to train themselves constantly to maintain their level of knowledge and to reach new areas of expertise when it comes to interpreting.
In Chabla we are all equal. That means that we expect everyone working with Chabla to be respectful, responsible and ethical in their work. We understand that people come from different backgrounds but we hope that on Chabla all differences are left outside and you strive to ensure cross-cultural understanding.
